On November 27, 2018, Houston, Texas celebrated their third annual Giving Day, Big Give Houston!
Big Give Houston is a community-driven 24-hour giving movement. It is intended to increase visibility for local nonprofits and celebrate charitable organizations while raisings much-needed funds. Houston area nonprofits join forces for one day to encourage the spirit of philanthropy within the community.
Training, custom shareable graphics, social media assets, and other resources were provided for participating organization via the Big Give Houston Nonprofit Toolkit.
Prizes were given out to various organizations for different milestones throughout the day such as most individual donors and most raised by a peer-to-peer fundraiser.

Organizations with the most Most Raised and the Most Unique Donations were features on the event’s Leaderboards.
At over $25k, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston ranked first for having the Most Raised!
Topping the leaderboards for having the Most Donors was PugHearts Houston Pug Rescue at 111 unique supporters!

In its third year, Big Give Houston continues to bring together community-wide donors and nonprofits for 24-hours of giving. More than 150 nonprofits represented the Houston-area, highlighting their philanthropic missions and initiatives throughout Texas.
The Big Give Houston team accomplished so much during their first year on the GiveGab platform! Our Partner worked incredibly hard engaging nonprofits and the community to bring awareness to this 24-hour celebration of giving. Their efforts made a clear impact as 32% of this year’s donors identified themselves as being first-time donors!
