It’s no accident that GivingTuesday is December 3. The last quarter of the year is when nonprofits typically see the most donations. Nearly one-third of annual giving happens in December, and 10 percent happens in the last three days of the year (people want to get those tax credits!).
Your board members can play a fundamental role in your #GivingTuesday success.
This #GivingTuesday, thousands of nonprofits are going to launch fundraising campaigns and promote their missions in hopes of gaining the support they need. And for the many nonprofits using GiveGab to launch their campaigns and collect donations, there are a great number of ways to get creative and inspire giving back.
Even as Giving Tuesday begins to really take off across the country, I hear many nonprofits express reservations about participating and putting an effort into fundraising on that day. Some of them have tried it in the past with limited results, and others are a little hesitant to even start raising money online in the first place.
We hope you have decided to join the movement on December 1st because we’re less than 2 months away from #GivingTuesday! If you’re just joining the movement, it’s time to start planting the seed with your constituents.
