As a non-traditional campus, The University of Baltimore developed creative ways to engage with current students and alumni online through online Giving Days. By hosting a #GivingTuesday initiative in 2020, and their first Spring Giving Day in 2021, the University of Baltimore ended a five-year giving plateau with support from GiveGab.
#GivingTuesday is right around the corner, and it is more important than ever for organizations and schools to have an accessible and robust way to fundraise online! Last year, 4,051 organizations raised $20.7 million with GiveGab on #GivingTuesday. We want to keep this momentum up for 2021 as we support even more organizations fundraising on November 30.
GiveGab’s three company values have always been Customer Love is what drives us, Team Culture is our Foundation, and We Walk the Walk. Every day the GiveGab team makes a conscious effort to embody these three values in everything we do.
Fundraising best practices have rapidly evolved over this past year. As we move forward into the second half of 2021, some trends are likely to fade in importance, but many have the potential to stick around far into the future. Determining which trends are here to stay is vital for nonprofits to effectively fundraise, train their staff, and grow throughout the year.
As the industry leader in Giving Day technology, we get asked a lot of questions. The most common being, “Why should I run a Giving Day?” In our five years of experience providing support to Giving Day hosts, we have found that there is not just one answer to this question that strikes a chord with every organization. There are countless reasons why an online day of giving is beneficial and many of these answers are as unique as your organization.
Giving Days are 24-hour (or longer) digital fundraising challenges that aim to rally groups of people to support a particular region, cause, event, or organization. They generate excitement and create a sense of unity for all involved, all while raising funds and filling critical needs.
This GivingTuesday your fundraising efforts and involvement were more important than ever. You downloaded all the resources, told your story on social media, and assembled a team of your organization’s superfans to rally behind you. You worked exceptionally hard to reach your goals and are already thinking of how to put these new donations to continue providing essential services to your community.
