As a non-traditional campus, The University of Baltimore developed creative ways to engage with current students and alumni online through online Giving Days. By hosting a #GivingTuesday initiative in 2020, and their first Spring Giving Day in 2021, the University of Baltimore ended a five-year giving plateau with support from GiveGab.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, Cayuga Health System partnered with GiveGab to rally support for Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital. Cayuga Health System has been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19, working diligently to keep their patients and community safe in a world full of unknowns. As the Hospital System’s needs began to skyrocket, their ability to plan for their in-person fundraising events was brought to a standstill.
The United Way of Rhode Island was busy planning for its first statewide Giving Day, 401Gives, when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in the United States. At this time, many nonprofits were in desperate need of support and were unsure if they would be able to raise the funds necessary to continue their operations.
Through an almost 26-hour live stream planned in under 6 weeks, Missoula Gives 2020 saw its most successful Giving Day yet. They experienced record-breaking engagement as 3,337 donors came together to raise $811,294 for their local nonprofits in a time where community support was needed more than ever.
